Website Update

You may have noticed our website was under maintenance for the past few months. We were unfortunately dealing with some backend issues. (Quite boring if you are not into that sorta thing, if you are I’m sure you probably know more than I do about it.)

The good news is the site is back up and running again!

We are still tweaking many aspects of the site! So please excuse some of the more “rough around the edges” aspects and enjoy learning more about our content.

Thanks for your patience and as always HAPPY LISTENING!

When Nina (“Nine”) Tanleven earns a spot in a new musical to be mounted in the beautiful-but-spooky Grand Theater, she expects that she will be in for a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. What she does not expect is that she will find a best friend, the cheerful and funny Chris Gurley. Even more unexpected is the beautiful ghost that appears to both of them.
Though “The Woman in White” seems friendly, soon mysterious and frightening events begin to pile up. Before long, most of the cast is convinced that the ghost is trying to sabotage the show.

Nine and Chris don’t believe it, and move into full detective mode to try to solve the mystery. In doing so, they find themselves in greater danger than they could have imagined.

Newcomer Sophia Greene sparkles as Nine, and she is delightfully supported by a crew of Full Cast regulars who bring this much-loved ghost story to vivid new life.

Sixth-Grade Alien: Missing – One Brain

by Bruce Coville

Purple and perplexed, Pleskit Meenom needs advice on how to deal with the challenges of his new life on Earth. Normally he would ask his best friend, Tim Tompkins, but the two boys have been tricked into a feud. So instead he turns to his Grandfatherly One – or, at least, the brain of that wise old man, which is all the family has left of him. But perhaps the Grandfatherly One is not as wise as they all would like to believe, since he convinces Pleskit to take him to school in the portable Brain Transport Device. And that’s when things really start to go wrong . . . The recording was dubbed “rollicking!” by AudioFile Magazine, which said the narration by William Dufris’ “brings just the right amount of grade-school enthusiasm . . . his youthful voice is well suited to the age of the main characters as he captures the emotional ups-and-downs of an 11-year-old’s life.”

Sixth-Grade Alien: I Shrank My Teacher

by Bruce Coville

Pleskit Meenom, the first alien to go to school on Earth, is starting to fit in with his new class. It’s not easy, given how slippery the language is. (Just how many meanings does the word “cool” have, anyway?) But the biggest problem is Jordan Lynch, the class bully who just can’t resist picking on the new kid. Finally Pleskit and his new best friend, Tim Tompkins, decide to take action. But taking action when you have alien technology at your disposal can mean taking things just a little too far . . . and we do mean little! This hilarious mix of comedy, alien adventure, and social satire is enhanced by a brilliant reading from the late, great William Dufris (the original American voice of Bob the Builder), which School Library Journal said, “makes the recording a hoot!”

Sixth-Grade Alien

by Bruce Coville

The aliens have made contact! But because they consider Earth a small, backwater planet they send only one ambassador. The ambassador brings along his son, Pleskit, and (for political reasons) insists the boy should attend a regular school. Science fiction loving Tim Tompkins is desperate to befriend the alien . . . and Pleskit is going to need a friend, because someone is trying to sabotage the mission! This very funny book is made even more hilarious by a brilliantly creative performance from the late, great William Dufris (the original American voice of Bob-the-Builder). As AudioFile magazine said regarding the many voices, “William Dufris does a masterful job of creating them all . . . enjoy the extravaganza!” And (not to give away too much) – this may be the only book you’ll listen to this year that features someone saving the world by projectile vomiting. Just saying . . .
